Job Details
Process Modelling & Simulation Leader: Basic Function: -Directs and manages the activities of Process Modeling & Simulation Section. -Studies and evaluates new technologies on Process Modeling & Simulation field and contributes to the overall performance of TAKREER’s operation and research & development -Develops new Process Modeling & Simulation techniques by cooperating with such research institutions as PI,and other research institutes, as well as software manufactures and engineering companies. -Contributes towards the advancement of TAKREER’s Process Modeling & Simulation technique related to refining and environmental protection -Contributes towards the advancement of scientific and technological qualification on Process Modeling & Simulation fields of UAE and UAE nationals -Applies newly developed techniques to refineries and TTC with the assistance of engineers. -Directs and leads research activities on new technology development with cooperation with PI and other international research institutions -Key liaison, for R & D related issues, with Ruwais, Abu Dhabi refinery, PI, Universities etc. -Initiates research activities on new technology within TTC and outside TTC. -Collects the state of art of information of the most advanced technologies on Process Modeling & Simulation and applies them to refineries and TTC. -Conducts various studies for TAKREER to apply a new technology . -Encourages and promotes the participation of TTC personnel to present technical papers to various conferences, exhibitions and scientific societies. -Collaborates with the academic group of people in the petroleum and refinery sectors, and Universities research institutes, etc. -Conducts and leads accumulation of technical information within TAKREER as well as from outside. -Provides technical expertise for process modeling and simulation to rationalize and optimize of refinery units and operation. -Guides and coordinates with simulation engineer in refineries. -Provides technical expertise for the design and development for process modeling and simulation techniques on refining and related process. -Reviews and supervises the work performed by Process Modeling Consultants and Contractors. -Provides guidance in trouble shooting with simulation study with Process Engineer to the refineries as required. -Reviews/comments/approves PFD, Datasheets, technical documents, technical evaluation report by back check with proprietary simulation know-how/technology. -Performs simulation know-how/technology for projects to be handled in-house. -Provides advice and assistance to TAKREER’s plants in process and utility interfaces. -Utilizes commercially available process simulator to fulfil the duties. -Develops the networks and the tools to acquire data and information from refineries. -Develops reaction and reactor simulation tools, which are not readily available, for the optimization study of reaction conditions and catalyst evaluation. -Develops and maintains LIMS (Lab. Information Management System) for Takreer Research CenterTRC. About the Job: Reporting to the Chief Engineer at TRC, the job is of a critical nature in providing technical expertise for Process simulation. The incumbent will supervise the all simulation works hence solid debugging skills are imperative to solve normally complex models and has the ability to develop mathematical simulations of various pertinent unit operations. Must have highly computer literate, with simulation software experience. The job requires a sound technical knowledge in developing calibrated simulation models using the standard and proprietary simulation tools and techniques.
