QUALIFICATION
• BSc or equivalent from a recognised Technical University• Not less than 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry particularly offshore related facilities, and at least 5 years in a related quality assurance environment• Good knowledge of International Standards and Codes, particularly Quality Management Systems to ISO 9000 series.• Technical author in Quality related documentation• Certified Lead Assessor• Fluent in both written and spoken English• Computer Literate with experience using Microsoft Office, Visio and SmartPlant Foundation Engineering Document Management System (EDMS)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Technically responsible for: • Manage the Company Corporate Engineering Specifications to reflect the needs of the Company to those required by the International Codes• Manage the updating of Engineering Procedures to reflect the needs of the Engineering Department work instructions and activities related to quality control.• Standardisation of technical documentation with respect to Engineering Procedures• Main documents as noted below and others as required by the Engineering Department, with respect to checking the document format/ structure, revision and standardso Scope of work/ services for studies and projectso Material requisitions as part of the Commercial Department’s purchase requisitions for new equipmento Engineering packages, including specifications, datasheets, drawings etc. o Vendor documentationActivities:• Coordination with other departments, eg. Business Units/ Support Units• Keep up to date with the latest codes and standards, alert engineers of revision• Maintain records of proposed changes/ comments to current Engineering Specifications/ Procedures/ Data sheets etc.• Liase with discipline engineers• Ensure the Engineering Specifications and Procedures are available and up to date on the Company Intranet • Liase with the Engineering Department EDMS section to ensure the Engineering Specifications and Procedures are accessible on the Company Intranet• Focal point for all Company Specifications on the Company Intranet
