Gasco - Mechanical Technician

PURPOSE
To assist in the performance of preventive, corrective and troubleshooting all the mechanical maintenance activities.
BACKGROUND
The Mechanical Technician “B” reports to the Senior Mechanical Supervisor/Senior Mechanical Technician in the assigned Plant Division and Department. This is an entry level position that performs a supporting role to Mechanical Technician “A”
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
· To perform and participate in the preventive, corrective and troubleshooting mechanical maintenance activities of the plant equipment located at Ruwais Plant.
· To attend Toolbox meetings to establish scope of work activities such as safety requirements, permits to work, special tools and materials.
· To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures
· To assist in performing repair and functional test of lifting equipment and tackle located in the plant.
· To participate in condition monitoring checks on machinery and notify any malfunctions or defects to the Senior Mechanical Technician.
To be a member of the Engineering Emergency & Fire Backup 24 hour roster team, for performing ship connection & disconnection and safety support duties
